Oil on board with gold highlights, with label from Thomas Agnew & Sons., Ltd., London and Wildenstein, London. 8 1/2 in. diam., 11 1/4 x 11 1/4 in. (frame). Note: Research by Frederico Zeri on this work determined that it had been falsely attributed to Nicolo Da Foligno (also known as Niccolò di Liberatore, L'Alunno), and is a copy of the large painting by L'Allunno in the Pina Coteca in Bologna, donated by Pope Pions IX. Zeri's report on this work available on request.
