After Paolo Veronese (1528-1588): The Triumph of Temperance Over Vice
Ink, chalk and wash with gouache highlights on paper, indistinctly inscribed lower right, with the J. van Haecken (Lugt 2517) and Sir Joshua Reynolds (L. 2364) collector's marks lower left, with the John Clermont Witt (L. 646a) collector's mark and inscribed 'Paolo Veronese' on the mount.
14 1/8 x 10 3/4 in. (sheet), 18 1/2 x 14 3/4 in. (mount), 21 1/4 x 18 in. (frame).
Condition:
Sheet laid down on a paper mount with a few small tears and creases at the sheet edges. Rubbing and tiny scattered losses. Staining and soiling on the mount.
