Sanguine on paper laid down on card, inscribed with initials 'JP'. 8 1/4 x 8 5/8 in. (sheet), 15 1/2 x 17 1/2 in. (frame). Note: Presumably a copy with variations after Guido Reni's Birth of the Virgin

in the Cappella dell' Annunziata Rome. Provenance: Margot Gordon, NY.

Condition:Laid down and staining. Surface soiling. Some small skinned spots at the sheet edges. Soiling and skinning on the reverse of the card.
