Early Louis XV Style Carved Beechwood and Caned Fauteuil de Bureau

34 3/4 x 26 x 26 1/2 in., height of seat 18 1/2 in.

Note: An identical period fauteuil de bureau sold Sotheby's, London, March, 1999, Lot 767, which sold for $16,870.

Condition:

Fitted with an inset green velvet seat. Minor seam separations, some with filler with small age cracks. Small old repairs to the right and left legs. Expected nicks throughout. The caning in good condition. Structurally sound. Nicely carved.
