Early Victorian Green Painted Pine Chest of Drawers

40 3/4 x 40 1/2 x 20 1/2 in.

Provenance:first 1/4 19th c per Colin - checked paint together.

Condition:

The painted surface worn, with scuffing and nicks. Evidence of another color paint (ochre) underneath the green paint. Age crack to the top. Interior drawer bottoms are lined with old blue paper, bottom drawer with horizontal age crack. Drawer pulls replaced with age appropriate pulls. Horizontal seam separations on the side panels. Structurally sound. Charming piece.
