English Giltwood Picture Frame
Together with an Italian Reverse Carved Giltwood Picture Frame, Bologna.
English frame 27 x 19 3/4 in. (outside), 24 3/4 x 15 7/8 in. (interior); Italian frame 22 x 29 in. (outside), 17 x 24 1/2 in. (interior).
Provenance:The Collection of Paul Levi, London.
Condition:
The English frame with minor seam separations at the corners with losses to the interior border. Nice warm gilded patina with evidence of old worming. The Italian frame in good overall condition with an old repair on the top and on the four corners.
