Oil on canvas, unsigned, lined, with label from James S. Earle & Sons and Earles' Galleries, Philadelphia. 8 1/2 x 12 1/2 in., 14 x 18 in. (frame). Note: The old paper label on the back of the frame is from Earles' Galleries, Chestnut Street in Philadelphia. Earles' Galleries was a prominent framer and art gallery in the second half of the 19th Century. It was here that Thomas Eakins had his only solo exhibition.

Condition:Lined. Cracquelure. A few small areas of inpainting in the sky and at left edge.
