Set of Seven Empire Mahogany and Parcel-Gilt Fauteuils en Cabriolet

With a Sotheby's NY label sale 8879, lot 423. Upholstered in silk damask fabric.

36 1/2 x 23 1/2 x 17 3/4 in.,  height of seat 17 1/2 in.

Condition:

All in generally good condition with expected nicks and minor wear. One with a cracked seat rail and a sound frame. Some with staining on the reverse of the backrest. One with seam separations on the backrest. One chair lacking scroll carving at the top of the armrests. A few with old repairs which have oxidized. Some with glue residue on the underside of the seat. Most have new seat blocks. Good scale, fine quality. Structurally sound.
