Comprising:

A shaped box repoussé with a courting couple, probably Paris, indistinctly marked

A rectangular box repoussé with putti, indistinctly marked

A shaped silver-gilt box repoussé with a mythological scene, apparently unmarked, likely Dutch or French

A Louis XV enamel box, Fromery workshop with Paris discharge mounts

The largest 3 1/2 in. wide, 7.1 oz. approx. gross weighable.

Provenance:The silver gilt box sold, Freeman's Philadelphia, October, 17, 2017, Lot 30. Christie's London, December 9, 2012, "Harewood, Collecting in the Royal Tradition (The Attic Sale)," lot 1020A (sold for £625 [$1002] including premium). Property of a New York silver collector. The enamel box sold, Freeman's Philadelphia, October 17, 2017, Lot 31. H.R.H. The Princess Mary, Princess Royal, Countess of Harewood (1897-1965) and thence by descent at Harewood House, Yorkshire. Sold Christie's, London, December 9, 2012, "Harewood: Collecting in the Royal Tradition (The Attic Sale)," lot 1026 (sold for £1125 [$1804] including premium), where it was noted to be accompanied by "...a card addressed to 'Your Royal highness, from Lord Lonsdale.'" Property of a New York silver collector.

Condition:

Each with minor wear, rubbing to the gilding and a few tiny unobtrusive bruises. The enamel box lacking a mount, the cover is detached, some scratches and losses. Otherwise in good condition.
